Metravib Engineering

For more than 50 years, Metravib, a brand of the Acoem group, has been assisting its customers in solving problems related to acoustics and vibrations in order to improve the reliability of structures and associated components and their regular follow-up (usage monitoring, durability).
Initially involved in the development programme of silent submarines supported by the DGA until the beginning of the 80’s, Metravib then quickly became a privileged partner of the industry, bringing its expertise in the fields of defence, aerospace, automotive and railway.

The company was able to contribute to the improvement of acoustic comfort inside vehicles and aircrafts, to the development of vibration reduction solutions, to the lightening of structures, as well as to the creation of tools to control the reliability of industrial structures or production lines, and to monitor usage (HUMS).

At the same time, Metravib has been able to establish close links with the energy and hydrocarbon sectors, by providing innovative solutions to improve the performance of their installations and associated products, in terms of acoustics and vibrations.

Since its inception, Metravib has also worked closely with leaders in the polymer and rubber industry to develop material testing instruments and methods that meet the needs of R&D engineers.

This has led the company to offer scientifically designed Dynamic Mechanical Analysis (DMA) instruments covering very wide frequency, force, stress and temperature ranges.
