EFFIGEAR designs and produces transmission systems in France for all types of bicycles, scooters and quadricycles, whether electric or muscular. Our in-house design office assists customers with 3D design, prototyping and integration of our solutions into their own products.

Opting for Effigear gearboxes rather than a derailleur means greater comfort for the cyclist, lower maintenance costs and greater durability for the transmission system.
We offer two major products:
1. The Mimic: a mechanical gearbox that replaces a conventional derailleur.
2. The Valeo Smart e-bike system, which incorporates a gearbox and a 48V motor (the most powerful on the market) developed in partnership with Valeo, France’s leading automotive supplier. This electric transmission features a 100% automated gearshift mode that is unique in the world. It meets new mobility needs for both leisure (mountain bikes, gravel bikes, etc.) and business (cargo bikes, last-mile delivery vehicles, etc.).
EFFIGEAR is based in Maclas, in the Loire. The company also owns the mountain bike brand Cavalerie Bikes, which showcases its expertise and integrates its gearboxes.
