Objective

Support the deployment of alternative fuel infrastructures to decarbonize transport along the TEN-T network.

Priorities

  • Deployment of Charging Infrastructure: Installation of charging points for heavy-duty vehicles with power outputs of 150 kW, 250 kW, and 1 MW
  • Hydrogen Refueling Infrastructure: Development of infrastructure for heavy-duty vehicles and public transport, including bus depots and non-electrified TEN-T rail networks.
  • Hydrogen and Electricity for Inland Waterways and Ports: Establishment of infrastructure for the refueling and charging of inland and maritime vessels, as well as equipment for port operations and airports.
  • Ammonia and Methanol Refueling Infrastructure: Installation of bunkering infrastructure for ammonia and methanol in TEN-T maritime and inland ports.
  • Exclusion of Vehicle Costs: Vehicle costs are not eligible, except for inland waterway and short-sea shipping vessels, with aid limited to the cost difference between a fossil-fuel vessel and zero-emission vessel(s) needed to initiate the use of supported infrastructure.

Eligibility

  • Applicants must be legal entities (public or private organizations with a public service mission) established in an EU Member State or eligible for Cohesion Fund support.
  • Entities must register and be validated in the Participant Register before submitting their proposal and obtain validation from the Central Validation Service.
