Objective

  • This call aims to bridge the knowledge gap in urban mobility by fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and lifelong learning, with a focus on developing pedagogical methods.
  • The Master School should offer high-quality, cross-sectoral, internationale, and interdisciplinary programs to train students in sustainable urban mobility stimulate startup creation, and enhance the visibility of innovation and entrepreneurship programs.

Priorities

Summer Schools for Master’s Students :

  • Two-week summer schools combining a challenge-based course and a study trip to two cities in different countries.
  • Analyze problems in the first week, develop solutions, and present them to an investor jury in the second week.
  • Open to Master School students and external participants with 30-45 participants per session.
  • 50/50 revenue sharing with EIT, minimum expected revenue of 8k€.

New EIT Urban Mobility Master Programs (Type 1: Double-degree Master Programs based on the EIT Label Handbook) :

  • Support new urban mobility Master programs integrating technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship, distinct from existing ones.
  • Two-year program (120 ECTS), with studies in two countries, offering a double degree and EIT Label Certificate.
  • Include Knowledge Triangle Integration, innovative education, practical learning, international engagement, intersectoral experience, and geographic inclusion.
  • Centralized participation fees by EIT Urban Mobility, with no additional local fees for students.
  • Minimum 20 students for the first cohort, with a goal of financial sustainability after four cohorts.

New Universities Joining Existing EIT Urban Mobility Master Programs (Type 1: Double-degree Master Programs based on the EIT Labal Handbook) :

  • Add new partner universities to EIT Urban Mobility Master programs, including new geographic areas.
  • Proposals must detail alignment with the tarfet program.
  • Programs: MSc Sustainable Urban Mobility Transitions, MSc Smart Mobility Data Science and Analytics, MSc Business Engineering in Urban Mobility.
  • Centralized fees, with no local fees for students. Financial support for program development and management.
  • Promotions in Fall 2025, first students in 2026, with at least 10 students per cohort.

I&E Master Programs Joining the EIT Urban Mobility I&E Fellowship (Type 2: Single-degree Master Programs based on the EIT Label Handbook for Fellowships) :

  • Integrate Master programs in innovation and entrepreneurship into the EIT Urban Mobility I&E Fellowship to develop students’ entrepreneurial skills.
  • One-year programs (60 ECTS), leading to a Master’s degree, with a practical curriculum, ethical foundations, societal solutions, and strong networks.
  • Revenue estimate per student required.
  • Attract at least 10 students and ensure 6 graduates per cohort.

Bachelor Summer Schools :

  • Summer school in 2025 focused on urban mobility innovation, combining coursework and study trips.
  • Target Bachelor students in technical or economic fields.
  • Practical format, final project, industry visits, and lectures.
  • 30-40 students.
  • 50/50 revenue sharing with a minimum revenue of 4k€.

Other Educational Activities Contributing to KPI Achievement and Financial Sustainability :

  • Propose innovative activities to improve KPIs and financial sustainability.
  • Include student incubation, recruitment, industry partnerships, and I&E training for Bachelor students.
  • Details on design, outcomes, recruitment plan, and impact required.
  • Financial sustainability plan with projected revenues required.
  • Activities should be repeatable and scalable with reduced costs.

Eligibility

  • Applicant Registration: Complete the Partner Information Form (PIF) in the NETSUITE tool, including the PIC number.
  • Applicant Eligibility: Entities located in EU Member States or Horizon Europe associated countries.
  • Consortium Requirements: At least two independent legal entities from two EU Member states or associated countries.
  • Co-funding rate: Minimum 25% required.
