Multi-sensor integration for robust autonomous drone navigation – Organisation of a technological challenge
Organize a technological challenge on autonomous drone navigation in non-permissive environments. This include collecting, annotating, and sharing data recorded by the participating teams during field tests.
Proposals must include the following mandatory tasks :
- Infrastructure setup: Deploy hardware and software infrastructures for testing autonomous navigation technologies.
- Data Collection and Management: Gather sensor data from participating teams, ensuring evaluation, distribution, and database management.
- Evaluation Campaigns: Coordinate evaluation plans with stakeholders, manage field and data-based test campaigns, and objectively measure system performance during testing.
- Debriefing Workshops: Organize workshops to review results and feedback.
Proposals may also include the following tasks :
- Activities aimed at creating, supporting, and improving knowledge, products, and technologies, including disruptive technologies for significant defense impacts.
- Feasibility studies to explore the viability of new or upgraded products, technologies, processes, services, or solutions.
- Design of a defense product, tangible or intangible component, or technology, including defining technical specifications and conducting partial risk-reduction tests in industrial or representative environments.
Eligible Entities: Legal entities (public or private);
Eligible Countries: EU Member States (including overseas territories), EEA countries (EDF associated countries, see list of participating countries);
Consortium: At least 3 independent entities from 3 different eligible countries.
