Studies and designs to modernize existing armoured infantry fighting vehicles and develop technologies for new vehicles, focusing on aspects such as mobility, autonomy, survivability, and cybersecurity, while integrating eco-friendly and sustainable technologies and aiming for compatibility with future European combat vehicles.
Proposals must include the following mandatory tasks :
- Definition of the Concept of Operation, feasibility study, and architecture definition, including operational requirements and critical capacities;
- Cost-benefit analysis of the technological solutions defined during the System Requirement Review.
- Concept and Preliminary Design Review;
- System Specification, including detailed descriptions of the system and subsystems, and the development of harmonized requirements and vehicle system architecture.
Proposals may also include the following tasks :
- Knowledge integration: Activities to enhance interoperability and resilience, secure production and data exchange, master critical defense technologies, strengthen supply security, and effectively exploit results for defense products and technologies;
- System Prototyping: Creation of tangible or intangible models to demonstrate the performance of a defense product or technology in an operational environment;
- Defense Product Testing: Evaluation of the performance of a defense product, component, or technology;
- Defense Product Qualification: Complete process of demonstrating that the design meets specified requirements, with objective evidence of compliance;
- Defense Product Certification: Process by which a national authority certifies that the product, component, or technology complies with applicable regulations;
- Technology Development: Creation of technologies or assets to improve efficiency throughout the lifecycle of defense products and technologies.
- Eligible Entities: Legal entities (public or private);
- Eligible Countries: EU Member States (including overseas territories), EEA countries (EDF associated countries, see list of participating countries);
- Consortium: At least 3 independent entities from 3 different eligible countries.
