Encourage innovative SMEs to rapidly and cost-effectively transform technologies and research results into defense products, possibly by adapting civil technologies or addressing hybrid warfare challenges.
The following activities are eligible :
Knowledge integration: Activities aimed at improving interoperability and resilience by securing data production and exchange, mastering critical defense technologies, and strengthening supply security;
Studies: Feasibility studies to assess the viability of new products, technologies, processes, services, and solutions;
Design: Development of defense products, tangible or intangible components, with the definition of technical specifications and partial testing to reduce risks in an industrial or representative environment;
System Prototyping: Creation of models of products or technologies to demonstrate their performance in an operational environment;
Testing: Evaluation of the performance of a defense product or technology;
Qualification: Process of demonstrating that the design of a product or technology meets specified requirements, with objective proof of compliance;
Certification: Process by which a national authority certifies that the product or technology complies with applicable regulations;
Technology Development: Creation of technologies or assets to enhance efficiency throughout the lifecycle of defense products and technologies.
Eligible Entities: Applicants must be independent legal entities (public or private), not under the control of a non-associated third country (unless approved guarantees are provided by an eligible country).
Entity type: Applicants must be SMEs or non-profit research organizations.
Eligible countries: Applicants must be established in an eligible country (EU Member States, including overseas territories, or EEA countries).
