Objective

Funding for prototyping and/or pilot projects aimed at developing products or services (TRL 4-9) using advanced technologies and/or digital solutions to support the commercial development of applicants.

Priorities

Applicant should focus on at least one of the following challenges :

Prototyping of new products or services :

  • Development of prototypes using advanced technologies or digital solutions for business development.
  • Prototyping must include innovations like 3D printing, Internet of Things (connectivity), augmented/virtual reality, or other digital technologies not present in the company’s current portfolio.
  • It must involve proof of concept, product/service modeling, evaluation phases with feedback, and a final phase to prepare product demonstrations.
  • Qualitative and quantitative research must be conduct to assess consumer desirability, feasibility, competition, etc.

Pilot project :

  • Testing whether the new prototype or selected advanced technology/digital solution works as intended and meets business requirements.
  • The project can include validation and demonstration of the prototype in a relevant industrial environment, such as pilot production line.
  • Testing the integration of new technologies or digital solutions into production or management processes to make them more sustainable, circular, or modernized.

Prototyping AND Pilot Project :

  • Development of a project integrating both above items.

Eligibility

Eligible Entities : applicants must be SMEs, including startups, registered for at least 6 months before submitting the application. Only manufacturing SMEs are eligible; distributors are not eligible.

Consortium : Single applicant

Eligible Sectors – Two key sectors :

  • Lighting industry: Manufacturing luminaires, lamps, and related components, segmented by lighting types (LED, CFL), applications (general lighting, automotive, emergency, etc.). And components (lighting controls, electronics).
  • Furniture industry: Covers products and services segmented by material (wood, metal, plastic) and application (home, office, hospitality, upholstered furniture).
