Objective

Support the transition to a circular economy through prototyping, pilot testing, and the adoption of new products, processes or services.

Priorities

> Successful integration to a circular economy into the company’s processes;

> Development and validation of a prototype incorporating circular design principles;

> Implementation of new circular products, processes, or services.

Eligibles activities

Three types of activites are eligible :

1. Implementation of technologies to enhance circularity: integration of technologies that reduce resource consumption and/or waste production (e.g., AI-driven energy and material efficiency optimization):

2. Adoption of circular product design: Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), identification of optimization
opportunities, and development/testing of prototypes integrating circularity principals (e.g, improved repairability and recyclability);

3. New circular products, processes, or services: integration of innovations enhancing circularity in the applicant company’s core business (e.g., recycled materials, biodegradable packaging, waste recovery).

Eligibility

  • Be an SME established in an EU Member state;
  • Only individual applications (single entity) are eligible;
  • The applicant must have completed at least 50% of the Up2Circ Academy online learning modules) with verification based on the company name;
  • The applicant must summit an Up2Circ Assessment Report completed with the support of an Up2Circ advisor. In France, please contact Mathilde MAUVAIS (mmauvais@risingsud.fr) from the Economic Development and Attractiveness Agency of the Sud Region.
